This report analyzed 28 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular online graduate certificate programs for teaching students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our analysis found Northcentral University to be the most popular school for general education students who want to pursue an online graduate certificate in the United States. Northcentral University is a large private not-for-profit school located in the city of San Diego.

Women make up 80% of the education majors at the school.

Education majors at Northcentral University take out an average of $17,571 in student loans while working on their Graduate Certificate.

Auburn, AL

Out of the 28 online programs at schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Auburn University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the small city of Auburn, Auburn is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 58% of the education majors at the school.

The in-demand online graduate certificate programs at University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh Campus helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the best general education schools in the United States. Pitt is a very large public school located in the large city of Pittsburgh.

About 85% of the students majoring in education at the school are women while 15% are male.

After completing their Graduate Certificate, education graduates from Pitt carry an average student debtload of $25,278.

University of Missouri - Columbia did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular online places for general education students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #6 on the list. Mizzou is a very large public school located in the midsize city of Columbia.

Of the 16 students majoring in education at Mizzou, 19% are male and 81% are female.

University of Southern Mississippi did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular online places for general education students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #7 on the list. Located in the small city of Hattiesburg, Southern Miss is a public school with a large student population.

Of the 11 students majoring in education at Southern Miss, 18% are male and 82% are female.
