To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Teaching Degree Search has created its Most Popular General Education Bachelor's Degree Schools in the New England Region ranking. Our analysis looked at 40 schools in the New England Region to see which bachelor's degree programs were the most popular for teaching students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Education program at each school on the list.

The following schools top our list of the Most Popular General Education Bachelor's Degree Colleges.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Massachusetts Amherst the most popular school in the New England Region for general education students working on their bachelor’s degree. UMass Amherst is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Amherst.

About 94% of the students majoring in education at the school are women while 6% are male.

Providence, RI

Out of the 40 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Brown University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the medium-sized city of Providence, Brown is a private not-for-profit school with a large student population.
