Also there are many trade schools that offer short-term programs that open up more career options.

To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Teaching Degree Search has created its Most Popular General Education Doctor's Degree Schools in the New England Region ranking. This report analyzed 14 schools in the New England Region to see which ones were the most popular doctor's degree programs for teaching students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Education program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for education majors pursuing a doctor's degree.

Our analysis found Northeastern University Professional Advancement Network to be the most popular school for general education students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the New England Region . Located in the city of Boston, Northeastern University Professional Advancement Network is a private not-for-profit school with a large student population.

Of the 123 students majoring in education at Northeastern University Professional Advancement Network, 37% are male and 63% are female.

Cambridge, MA

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at Harvard University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular general education schools in the New England Region . Harvard is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Cambridge.

About 60% of the students majoring in education at the school are women while 40% are male.

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at Lesley University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular general education schools in the New England Region . Lesley is a small private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Cambridge.

American International College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for general education students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. AIC is a small private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Springfield.
