Our 2023 rankings named Linfield University - McMinnville Campus the best school in Oregon for teaching students working on their bachelor’s degree.
Linfield does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $46,032. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $27,646 in loans while pursuing their degree.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Linfield does offer online classes for certain majors. In fact, around 55% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.

Out of the 13 schools in Oregon that were part of this year’s ranking, Western Oregon University landed the # 2 spot on the list.
In-state students pay an average of $10,269 in tuition and fees if they attend Western Oregon State College full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $29,709. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Western Oregon State College accumulate an average of $25,633 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
Online courses are available at Western Oregon State College, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 98% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Pacific University is a great place for teaching students working on their bachelor’s degree.
The average tuition and fees at Pacific is $50,070. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Pacific accumulate an average of $24,853 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at Pacific. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 83% took at least some of their classes online.
A rank of #4 on this year’s list means University of Portland is a great place for teaching students working on their bachelor’s degree.
University of Portland does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $49,864. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $22,718 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Interested in an online degree? Then you definitely want to check out University of Portland. Every undergraduate student at the school took at least one class online.
Out of the 13 schools in Oregon that were part of this year’s ranking, George Fox University landed the # 5 spot on the list.
GFU does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $38,520. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from GFU accumulate an average of $25,424 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at GFU. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 62% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Corban University ranked #6 on this year’s Best Teaching Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Oregon list.

Eastern Oregon University landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best bachelor’s degree teaching programs.
Students from Oregon who attend EOU full time pay an average of $9,696 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $22,386. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from EOU accumulate an average of $29,594 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since EOU does offer online classes for certain majors. During the 2019-2020 year, about 95% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
With a ranking of #8, Oregon State University did quite well on this year’s best schools for teaching students working on their bachelor’s degree.
Full-time students from Oregon pay an average of $12,188 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Oregon State. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $31,579. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $26,738 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Some students may be able to take online classes at Oregon State. In fact, around 55% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Southern Oregon University ranked #9 on this year’s Best Teaching Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Oregon list.
In-state students pay an average of $9,357 in tuition and fees if they attend Southern Oregon University full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $23,613. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $26,302 in student loans.
Southern Oregon University does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. During the 2019-2020 year, about 70% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Warner Pacific University landed the #10 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best bachelor’s degree teaching programs.
The average tuition and fees at Warner Pacific is $19,860. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $38,794 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Bushnell University came in at #11 in this year’s edition of the Best Teaching Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Oregon ranking.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $32,320 to cover tuition and fees at Bushnell University. The school does not offer an in-state discount. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Bushnell University accumulate an average of $30,261 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.

University of Oregon came in at #13 in this year’s edition of the Best Teaching Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Oregon ranking.
