Our 2023 rankings named Middlesex Community College the best school in the New England Region for teaching students working on their basic certificate.
Students from Massachusetts who attend Middlesex Community College full time pay an average of $6,048 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $12,120.
Some students may be able to take online classes at Middlesex Community College. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 100% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means NHTI-Concord’s Community College is a great place for teaching students working on their basic certificate.
Full-time students from New Hampshire pay an average of $7,200 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend NHTI. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $15,450.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at NHTI. In fact, around 78% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Springfield Technical Community College. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Best Teaching Basic Certificate Schools in the New England Region list.
In-state students pay an average of $5,520 in tuition and fees if they attend STCC full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $10,728.
One thing to take note of is that STCC does offer online classes in some areas. During the 2019-2020 year, about 93% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Providence College. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Best Teaching Basic Certificate Schools in the New England Region list.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $55,988 to cover tuition and fees at Providence. The school does not offer an in-state discount.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Providence does offer online classes for certain majors. During the 2019-2020 year, about 95% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Quinsigamond Community College. The school came in at #5 on this year’s Best Teaching Basic Certificate Schools in the New England Region list.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Quinsigamond Community College is $5,830. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $10,774.
Quinsigamond Community College does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. In 2019-2020 about 35% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Bristol Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for teaching students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #6 on the list.
Students from Massachusetts who attend Bristol full time pay an average of $5,208 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $10,152.
One thing to take note of is that Bristol does offer online classes in some areas. In fact, around 100% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Endicott College ranked #7 on this year’s Best Teaching Basic Certificate Schools in the New England Region list.
Endicott does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $36,614. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid.
Endicott does offer online classes for certain degree levels. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 28% took at least some of their classes online.
Bridgewater State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for teaching students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #8 on the list.
In-state students pay an average of $10,732 in tuition and fees if they attend Bridgewater State full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $16,872.
Bridgewater State does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 44% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Bunker Hill Community College came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Best Teaching Basic Certificate Schools in the New England Region ranking.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at BHCC is $5,280. Out-of-state students pay an average of $10,224.
BHCC is one of the schools on our list that is primarily online. Each undergraduate student at the school took at least one class online.
University of Maine did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for teaching students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #10 on the list.
Students from Maine who attend UMaine full time pay an average of $11,986 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $33,586.
Online courses are available at UMaine, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 98% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #11, Suffolk University did quite well on this year’s best schools for teaching students working on their basic certificate.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $41,648 to cover tuition and fees at Suffolk. The school does not offer an in-state discount.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Suffolk does offer online classes for certain majors. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 59% took at least some of their classes online.
Gateway Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for teaching students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #12 on the list.
Full-time students from Connecticut pay an average of $4,496 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Gateway Community College. Out-of-state students pay an average of $13,448.
One thing to take note of is that Gateway Community College does offer online classes in some areas. In 2019-2020 about 98% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Rhode Island College landed the #13 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best basic certificate teaching programs.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at RIC is $10,702. Out-of-state students pay an average of $25,900.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at RIC. In 2019-2020 about 100% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
With a ranking of #14, Plymouth State University did quite well on this year’s best schools for teaching students working on their basic certificate.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Plymouth State is $14,492. Out-of-state students pay an average of $24,432.
One thing to take note of is that Plymouth State does offer online classes in some areas. In fact, around 82% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
