Our 2023 rankings named Lipscomb University the best school in Tennessee for teaching students working on their graduate certificate.
On average, graduate certificate students take out $16,032 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Online graduate courses are available at Lipscomb, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 31% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Union University. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Best Teaching Graduate Certificate Schools in Tennessee list.
Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at Union. During the 2019-2020 year, about 70% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means The University of Tennessee - Knoxville is a great place for teaching students working on their graduate certificate.
One thing to take note of is that UT Knoxville does offer online graduate classes in some areas. In 2019-2020 about 36% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
The excellent graduate certificate programs at Carson - Newman University helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the best teaching schools in Tennessee.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Carson - Newman does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 85% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Out of the 14 schools in Tennessee that were part of this year’s ranking, Freed-Hardeman University landed the # 5 spot on the list.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since FHU does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 87% took at least some of their classes online.
Tennessee Technological University landed the #6 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best graduate certificate teaching programs.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at Tennessee Tech University. In fact, around 80% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
The University of Tennessee - Chattanooga came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Best Teaching Graduate Certificate Schools in Tennessee ranking.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since UT Chattanooga does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. In fact, around 60% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #8, University of Memphis did quite well on this year’s best schools for teaching students working on their graduate certificate.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at UofM. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 58% took at least some of their classes online.
With a ranking of #9, Middle Tennessee State University did quite well on this year’s best schools for teaching students working on their graduate certificate.
Middle Tennessee State University does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 57% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Lincoln Memorial University came in at #10 in this year’s edition of the Best Teaching Graduate Certificate Schools in Tennessee ranking.
Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at LMU. During the 2019-2020 year, about 13% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
Trevecca Nazarene University came in at #11 in this year’s edition of the Best Teaching Graduate Certificate Schools in Tennessee ranking.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since TNU does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. In fact, around 66% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Lee University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for teaching students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #12 on the list.
Lee University does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. During the 2019-2020 year, about 25% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
With a ranking of #13, East Tennessee State University did quite well on this year’s best schools for teaching students working on their graduate certificate.
One thing to take note of is that ETSU does offer online graduate classes in some areas. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 49% took at least some of their classes online.
Austin Peay State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for teaching students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #14 on the list.
