Our analysis found Seattle Pacific University to be the best school for teaching students who want to pursue a undergraduate certificate in the Far Western US Region .

Out of the 9 schools in the Far Western US Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Spokane Falls Community College landed the # 3 spot on the list.
In-state students pay an average of $3,826 in tuition and fees if they attend Spokane Falls Community College full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $5,135. By the time they get their undergraduate certificate, students from this school have racked up an average of $11,572 in student loans.
One thing to take note of is that Spokane Falls Community College does offer online classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 89% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Northwest University. The school came in at #4 on this year’s Best Teaching Undergraduate Certificate Schools in the Far Western US Region list.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $33,980 to cover tuition and fees at Northwest University. The school does not offer an in-state discount.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Northwest University does offer online classes for certain majors. In fact, around 32% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Out of the 9 schools in the Far Western US Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Redlands landed the # 5 spot on the list.
The average tuition and fees at University of Redlands is $52,500. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid.
University of Redlands is primarily an online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
University of Hawaii at Manoa came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Best Teaching Undergraduate Certificate Schools in the Far Western US Region ranking.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at UH Manoa is $12,186. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $34,218.
UH Manoa does offer online classes for certain degree levels. In fact, around 57% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Alliant International University landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best undergraduate certificate teaching programs.
Alliant does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $16,631. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid.
One thing to take note of is that Alliant does offer online classes in some areas. During the 2019-2020 year, about 52% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Eastern Oregon University landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best undergraduate certificate teaching programs.
Full-time students from Oregon pay an average of $9,696 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend EOU. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $22,386.
EOU does offer online classes for certain degree levels. During the 2019-2020 year, about 95% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
With a ranking of #9, College of Southern Nevada did quite well on this year’s best schools for teaching students working on their undergraduate certificate.
Full-time students from Nevada pay an average of $3,848 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend CSN. Out-of-state students pay an average of $11,534. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $15,460 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Online courses are available at CSN, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In 2019-2020 about 66% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
