This report analyzed 18 schools in the Great Lakes Region to see which ones had the most popular online doctor's degree programs for teaching students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our 2023 rankings named American College of Education the most popular school in the Great Lakes Region for teaching students working on their doctor’s degree. American College of Education is a private for-profit institution located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 181 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 64% of those degree recipients were women.

Cornerstone University landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree teaching programs. This small private not-for-profit school is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and it awarded 7 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
