This report analyzed 11 schools in Kentucky to see which ones were the most popular associate degree programs for teaching students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Jefferson Community and Technical College the most popular school in Kentucky for teaching students working on their associate degree. This fairly large public school is located in Louisville, Kentucky, and it awarded 28 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
Students from Kentucky who attend Jefferson Community and Technical College full time pay an average of $4,568 in tuition and fees. Out-of-state students pay an average of $15,320. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $19,839 in student loans. Around 86% of those degree recipients were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Jefferson Community and Technical College does offer online classes for certain majors. In 2019-2020 about 57% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.

You’ll be in good company if you attend Gateway Community and Technical College. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Teaching Associate Degree Schools in Kentucky list. Florence, Kentucky is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associate degrees to 13 students in 2020-2021.

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College is a great place for teaching students working on their associate degree. Cumberland, Kentucky is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associate degrees to 12 students in 2020-2021.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Southeast is $4,488. Out-of-state students pay an average of $15,240. On average, associate degree students take out $15,824 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 83% were women.
Southeast does offer online classes for certain degree levels. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 53% took at least some of their classes online.

The excellent associate degree programs at Bluegrass Community and Technical College helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular teaching schools in Kentucky. Bluegrass Community and Technical College is a medium-sized public school situated in Lexington, Kentucky. It awarded 10 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Bluegrass Community and Technical College is $4,568. Out-of-state students pay an average of $15,320. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $20,015 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 70% were women.

By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $25,980 in student loans. Around 14% of those degree recipients were women.

Murray State University ranked #7 on this year’s Most Popular Teaching Associate Degree Schools in Kentucky list. Murray State is located in Murray, Kentucky and has a medium-sized student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 6 associate degrees to qualified students.
In-state students pay an average of $9,252 in tuition and fees if they attend Murray State full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $18,528.
Online courses are available at Murray State, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. During the 2019-2020 year, about 46% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Eastern Kentucky University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for teaching students to get an associate degree. It came in at #7 on the list. Located in Richmond, Kentucky, the fairly large public school awarded 6 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2020-2021.
Students from Kentucky who attend Eastern full time pay an average of $9,752 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $20,024. On average, associate degree students take out $24,515 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 17% were women.

Campbellsville University came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Teaching Associate Degree Schools in Kentucky ranking. Campbellsville University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in Campbellsville, Kentucky that handed out 1 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
Campbellsville University does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $25,400. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, associate degree students take out $22,794 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 100% of those degree recipients were women.

Union College Kentucky did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for teaching students to get an associate degree. It came in at #10 on the list.

With a ranking of #10, Kentucky Christian University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for teaching students working on their associate degree.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $22,130 to cover tuition and fees at Kentucky Christian University. The school does not offer an in-state discount.
One thing to take note of is that Kentucky Christian University does offer online classes in some areas. In fact, around 2% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
