Our 2023 rankings named University of New Mexico - Main Campus the most popular school in New Mexico for teaching students working on their master’s degree. University of New Mexico - Main Campus is a large public school located in Albuquerque, New Mexico that handed out 177 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 75% of those degree recipients were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at UNM. In fact, around 38% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
The excellent master’s degree programs at University of the Southwest helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular teaching schools in New Mexico. You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend New Mexico State University - Main Campus. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Popular Teaching Master’s Degree Schools in New Mexico list. Located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the fairly large public school awarded 120 diplomas to qualifed master’s degree students in 2020-2021.

One thing to take note of is that New Mexico Tech does offer online graduate classes in some areas. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 78% took at least some of their classes online.
