The in-demand graduate certificate programs at George Mason University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular special education schools in the Southeast Region . GMU is a very large public school located in the suburb of Fairfax.

Out of the 66 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of West Georgia landed the # 3 spot on the list. University of West Georgia is a large public school located in the fringe town of Carrollton.

Of the 63 students majoring in special ed at University of West Georgia, 6% are male and 94% are female.

With a ranking of #6, University of Florida did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for special education students working on their graduate certificate. Located in the midsize city of Gainesville, UF is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 93% of the students majoring in special ed at the school are women while 7% are male.
