This report analyzed 414 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular master's degree programs for teaching students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Education program at each school on the list.

Top 25 Most Popular Schools for a Master's in General Education
Our 2023 rankings named National University the most popular school in the United States for general education students working on their master’s degree. Located in the city of La Jolla, National University is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.
Women make up 70% of the education majors at the school.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Grand Canyon University is a great place for general education students working on their master’s degree. Located in the large city of Phoenix, Grand Canyon University is a private for-profit college with a fairly large student population.
Of the 707 students majoring in education at Grand Canyon University, 16% are male and 84% are female.
The in-demand master’s degree programs at Johns Hopkins University helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular general education schools in the United States.
